Roy and Maureen took over the running of Spencer's in the Pound Cookham in 2008. They have refitted and modernised the bedrooms, all en suite, for B&B guests and also have produced an appetising menu in their bar/restaurant with good wholesome British food, click here for a sample Sunday menu or click here for Maureen's Top Ten Menu. Roy's next plan is to have guest beers. There is a large car park and Spencer's is situated a few minutes walk from Cookham Station with regular trains to Maidenhead and then on to London.

Spencer's is in the heart of Cookham in a Conservation area. The area can be traced back to the Stone Age. Cookham also houses the world famous Stanley Spencer Gallery, the only Gallery devoted exclusively to an artist in the village where he was born and spent most of his working life.
