COMPENSATION SCHEMES Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) On 01 December 2001 the Financial Services Compensation Scheme took over the responsibilities of eight previous compensation schemes including the Policyholders Protection Board under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
