Cookham Tavern Opening Night (25 June 2001) |

Monday 25th June saw the opening of the new look Cookham Tavern. Mr Ahmed and his staff had been working since the early hours of the morning to ensure that the Pub/Restaurant could open on time. |

The Tavern has had a complete face lift and now offers both a bar menu and a very comprehensive restaurant menu. |
||||||||

Mr Ahmed is the chef and is reknowned for both his Indian and Continental cuisine and has had extensive experience in both Indian and European food and is the winner of national culinary awards. He has worked in some of London's top hotels including the Ritz and the Radisson Edwardian. |

There is still a bar area where people can drop in for a drink. There is also an appetising bar snack menu. The trouble is it is all so mouth watering it is difficult to know what to choose. Soup of the day at £3.00, penne with stilton and cream at £6.50 or chicken mexicana with home made bread £7.50 and of course vegetable curry at £4.50. |

The elegant dining area also offers a wide selection of dishes. The best cuisine from around the world. Rack of lamb at £16.00, Tandoori dishes from £7-50 to £13-50, vegetarian curries £5-50 to £8-50 and of course lots of side dishes to go with your curry.
All major credit cards are taken and it is even possible to have TAKE AWAY!!
Opening Hours are 12pm -2pm and 4pm - 11pm Monday to Friday and 11am-11pm Saturday and Sunday, including Bank Holidays. |
