‘Deliciously French’ Nominated For Its Quality Baguettes (25 September 2002) |

Local
sandwich shop and delicatessen, Deliciously French, based in Cookham has
been commended in a national competition designed to recognise quality and
excellence in French baguettes. The La Baume Best Baguette Awards, organised by French wine company, La Baume, was designed to find the nation’s Best Baguette and Best Filled Baguette. Deliciously French was commended in the Best Filled Baguette category for the outstanding quality of its Brie baguette. Baguettes from all around the country, some from sandwich companies, others nominated by consumers were entered into the competition. |

Waitrose scooped the title of Best Baguette for their Flute and Country Choice Foods took the title of Best Filled Baguette for their Moroccan Lamb Baguette. The La Baume French wine range comes from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France and includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Viognier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, all of which can be found in supermarkets around the country. |
