St John the Baptist Autumn Fayre

In spite of the forecast of storms and gales the Cookham Dean Village Hall was packed with people for a 10am start for the annual Cookham Dean Autumn Fayre.
There were a lot of old favourites, the tombola with Nick Billinghurst; raffles ; stalls for all flavours of fudge, jams and cakes and pastries; lovely cards for various occasions and Christmas wrapping paper, tags and Advent calendars; jewellery; ‘Trash with Panache’, videos and books; and refreshments were served throughout.
There was even a children’s corner with face painting. All the proceeds are given to charity and this year there are two, MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) and the Cookham Youth Project.
