Cookham Arts Club Holds its 68th Annual Exhibition

It is the Cookham Art Clubs 68th annual art exhibition from 22nd until 31st August 2009, which is enjoyed every year by many people. As usual it is held at the Pinder Hall for the last week and a half of August. This is the Club's main event of the year and it has attracted a wide entry from both members and non members in media such as water colours, oils, drawings, sculpture, woodcarving and pottery. All members have at least one of their items accepted for the exhibition.
Over the years, many established and well known artists have had their introduction to the Arts through the Club to give encouragement to beginners and to afford help and advice from fellow members.
The Arts Club is planning a special arts sale in November 13-15th at the Pinder Hall where there will be an exhibition and sale of paintings, sculptures and greetings cards by members of Cookham Arts Club. Paintings will be in a modern style, including abstract & semi-abstract work.
