The Eden Project at Cookham Rise School by Julie Armstrong (3 October 2012) |
When Cookham Rise Primary was presented with a cheque from the Recyclebank scheme for £1,000.00 on Friday 6th July 2012, they put it to good use. |
They received the cheque based on points generously donated by the community which enabled them to purchase an Eden style dome in which they have created an African Garden (see www.sendacow.org) | |||
They
also constructed an additional African garden, outside of the dome, in
the garden/wildlife area which enabled them to teach the children how
different climates and pollination affect growth.
Thanks are offered to Mr. Lilywhite and Mr. Wright for their help in the construction of these gardens. Cookham Rise are pleased to announce that they are winners in the keyhole garden category of the www.sendacow.org competition and will be presented with their trophy in a few days.

Round of The Mark Mattock Schools Challenge Cup this year. Councillor
Gordon Harris presented Mrs. Julie Armstrong and members of the C.R.E.W.
team with their certificate on Thursday 27th September 2012.
