Rocked the Moor!

After months of organisation Let's Rock the
Moor! happened on Saturday 22 May 2010. The weather could not have been
better, the hottest day of 2010 so far. |
|
|
|
|
|
The crowds flocked to Cookham Moor for the
second year of Let's Rock the Moor organised by two local Cookhamites,
Nick Billinghurst and Mike Clark. |
|
|
|
|
|
The sun shone down on us all day and there
was a good natured family audience who swayed and clapped along to the
music. Some had brought picnics, some bought their lunches from the
excellent catering tent, but as the sun began to set no one was
leaving. |
|
|
|
|
|
"Fantastic Day" sang Howard Jones
in the final set of the evening. Everyone who had gathered on Cookham Moor
for "Rock the Moor" had to agree whole heartedly. Nick
Billinghurst and Mike Clarke had a lot to smile about today. |
|

sparkle to the afternoon. |

Lessons had been well learned
from the teething troubles of last year's concert and everything ran
smoothly and finished well within time. Hopefully Cookham has answered the
kill joys with 2000 resounding hoorays for organisers. |
|
|
|
|
|
A very big thank you to the organisers and
all the people who made this fantastic event happen. It is what makes
Cookham a little bit special. |
