Cookham in the snow.... The trains and traffic are still running and the crowds are out in force toboganning on Winter Hill all day and into twilight!

 

Sensational. If you want to meet your friends and neighbours - head to the golf course. they are all there with mulled wine, hot chocolate and toboggans....

 

Blue skies and freezing temperatures brought the crowds out to snowbound Cookham. With the most picturesque toboggan runs for miles, people flocked to slopes with their toboggans and sleds and made the most of a glorious day.  

 

Talk was how we'd never seen anything like this in the village ever, and speculation is rife as to when the river will freeze. Already the lock cut is a block of ice and the ponds on Marsh Meadow are solid for skaters....

 

Everyone is taking the hint to dress warmly including the horse!
