One Day I Will Be Old Enough to Vote (11 June 2004) with thanks to Billy Mallett |
||||||||
Pinder Hall had queues of people waiting
to vote today, 10 June 2004, in the European elections. Bucking the
trend throughout the rest of the country turnout in Cookham was pretty
good. With lots of parties to vote for - the system was a whole lot
easier than the one we had 5 years ago. Just one vote for any of the 12
different parties.....

Billy Mallett is not old enough to vote
yet, but he took an interest in what was going on. Peter Ward
explained to him some of the finer details of the European Electoral
process.

We will not know the outcome until Sunday
of the actual voting, as that is when most European countries will be
voting, with the exception of UK and Holland, who both voted on Thursday
10 June.
