A lovely warm summer day and it was the
annual Cookham Regatta run by the local Rotary. It is the ninth year the
Regatta has been jointly run by the Rotary Clubs of Cookham Bridge and
Marlow Thames. The main sponsor was Michael Shanly Homes and Copas
Partnership had allowed the use of Marsh Meadow and their trailer. Over
thirty charities will be supported from the profits of the day including
Elizabeth House in Cookham, local charities in the area, plus national and
international charities.

The Rotary club were delighted with
the turn out, and the crowds on the shore enjoyed the races as well as
the other activities. It was agreed that this was another fabulous day of
well organised fun and fund-raising. Attractions for everybody and
particularly for those taking part.
