| In spite of the cold wet autumnal weather during the week the day of Cookham Regatta on Saturday 5 September dawned bright and fine although somewhat windy and chilly. | |||

| Apart from the actual races with all sorts of craft, there was also stalls for people to visit and the Scout barbecue was ever popular, possibly with people visiting it to warm up. | |||
