COOKHAM RUNNING CLUB MEMBERS
CELEBRATE AFTER FINISHING THE UK'S LONGEST RELAY OVER THE WEEKEND
....
Congratulations to Cookham Running
Club for completing the Wolfpack Relay over the weekend. A team of
twelve runners tackled the 160 mile course from Twickenham to
Cardiff in 25 hours and 11 minutes.
"It
was as much a logistical and navigational feat as a running
challenge. By the time we reached the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff,
some of us hadn't slept for 40 hours, so given that we were
all suffering from sleep deprivation, it was a particularly huge
achievement! We would like to thank our fabulous support team,
and family and friends," said one team member, Sarah Parfitt.
"We're already looking forward to taking part next year.."
