What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than dancing in lovely surroundings with a delicious tea!” So said one of the dancers at the end of the Tea Dance held at the Odney Club on the last Sunday afternoon of the Cookham Festival. He spoke for all the participants. The event was a sell-out: 84 people came after 25 extra tickets had to be printed. Several people who came on the day without a ticket had to be turned away. The Tea Dance was a much bigger a nd more sophisticated event than the one held in 2013 at the Pinder Hall when only thirty six dancers attended. The highlight of afternoon at the Odney Club was a demonstration of Latin Dancing given by two young world-champions who, despite only dancing together for three months are already winning international competitions. The Odney Club produced a magnificent tea which was greatly enjoyed by everyone and a good time was had by all.
