Crime: 22 October 2014

NO BURGLARIES IN THE LAST 48 HOURS

Eight cars entered and searched in the last 2 days in Ascot !

Someone is out and about with a jammer, or some other gadget to unlock cars.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE IN YOUR CAR AT THIS TIME.

Report anything suspicious on the 101 number please.

Please be aware that opportunists thieves have signal jammers which can prevent you locking your car !  Any car fob, will act as a car jammer confusing the signal received by your car if used at the same time as yours.  They do have much more powerful signal jammers, used to prevent ‘Tracker’ signals leaving more expensive cars.  Whenever you leave your car, you must always try a car door handle to make sure it is locked !

MEMBERS’ COMMENTS:

Hi Jeff
sorry to be a pain again.  This is about scam emails.  I seem to be getting more and more of each day - around 14 at the last count (Mon 20/10)

I am now getting the identical email from Argos, saying i have won £500 worth of groceries , click here to claim prize !!!!!  - AND, then at the same time, another one from Currys, with exactly the same wording and attachment click.

I am getting slightly fed up with this invasion of my privacy.

Does anyone know how I can stop these emails please ?

Nick
