Have you been wondering how you can help the Ukrainian people displaced by the war?
Safeplaces is a charitable organisation developed by a group of volunteers to help hosts and Ukrainian families who will be guests within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
*Hosts*
We are keen to hear from residents of RBWM who are considering hosting a Ukrainian family and would like to understand more about the process and commitment.
*Helpers*
For residents of RBWM that aren’t able to host themselves but would like to offer support to those who are hosting Ukrainian families, we'd love to hear from you too. Support can be anything from grocery shops, translation services, clothing, toys etc … anything the hosting families need to help make their guests feel more comfortable, welcome and taken care of by the local community.
*Fundraisers*
If you are in a position to donate please do and if you know of any local Companies who are able to support please share. Here are just a few things that funds will be spent on:
- Welcome packs
- Education
- Transport
- Leisure
- Benefit support
- Housing
- Health
The list is not exhaustive! But we want you to know we are supporting hosts and families in many areas!
