Your ticket to a weekend of garden delights
 
Tickets are now on sale for the second Maidenhead Rotary Club Open Gardens Weekend which takes place on June 25-26.

 After tickets to last year’s inaugural event sold-out well in advance, the number has been increased so no one should miss out on the two-day celebration of the British love affair with gardening.
Each £10 entry badge (under-16s are free) gives the holder access over the whole weekend to more than 20 delightful gardens across Maidenhead and its surrounding villages.

Some of the gardens will also be selling plants, playing host to live music and showcasing the work of local artists. In addition, this year a new link up with the Wild About Gardens Awards Maidenhead will give the opportunity to learn how to garden in a way that puts wildlife at the heart of our communities.

Open Gardens Weekend co-ordinator Janet Perry said: “The number of gardens taking part this year is increasing and already includes 10 new ones. Opening hours will also vary to give visitors the time to visit more of the gardens – so there’ll be lots of choice and we are ensuring there will be even more refreshments available for visitors to enjoy with the support of other local charities.
“We are also still looking for a few last gardens so please do get in touch at contact@maidenheadopengardens.org if you are interested.”

Janet continued: “Our garden owners are keen to share their passion for gardening with other like-minded people. Last year everyone had a fantastic time swapping ideas and getting inspiration. “It’s going to be another fabulous weekend and we hope as many people as possible will come and join us. Last year we raised £6,500 for charity and we are hoping for a similar success this year.”

Entry badges can be purchased from https://form.jotform.com/221114654975357 and are also on sale at Braywick Heath Nurseries in Maidenhead. A map of venues and opening times will be emailed to entry badge holders and also be available to download before the event in June.
