: Red Arrows flypast route over Berkshire today : Cookham Webmaster June 05, 2022, 12:39:30 PM The Red Arrows are set to fly past near the county today (Sunday, June 5) as part of the Jubilee celebrations. People near Slough, Maidenhead and surrounding areas may be lucky enough to spot the famous team in the skies.
The famous RAF team have quite the busy day as they will attend the English Riviera Airshow for a Torbay display from 12pm. The Red Arrows will be at the Airshow in Devon as part of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations, between 12pm and 1pm. Other aircraft attending the English Riviera include BBMP Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane. The question is, when will we be able to see them in Berkshire? They are set to be in the skies near Slough and Maidenhead when taking the route from the vicinity of RAF Northolt and east of Compton. Set to fly past Buckingham Palace at 5.05pm, the jets will be able to be seen from Maidenhead and Slough between 5.06pm and 5.11pm. The RAF display squadron were set to fly over the palace as part of the final day of celebrations to mark 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II.
The aircraft were scheduled to fly over parts of Berkshire as part of the journey. However bad weather means the flypast is now cancelled. A Red Arrows spokesperson said: "Sadly, the poor weather across large parts of England this afternoon has forced the cancellation of all of our remaining planned flypasts." |
