The car park was closed on New Year’s Eve at short notice ‘due to serious health and safety risks’ and has remained closed since. Last month, a safety inspection uncovered ‘significant issues’ with it. The car park had been earmarked for demolition as part of the Nicholsons regeneration, which has stalled due to legal disputes over a necessary compulsory purchase order. |
