: Loose Roof Tiles : Thames Valley Police April 29, 2019, 05:15:53 PM I have been asked to put out the following message from RBWM Community Warden Clive Dent:
In light of the recent high winds, please be aware of doorstep traders knocking on doors and claiming that you have a few loose roof tiles. This scam usually includes statements from the trader saying that they can do the work now and for cash. They will pretend to find other problems with the roof and then the price of the job goes up and up!! Please look out for your elderly relatives and neighbours as they are the ideal target for doorstep traders/scammers. if you are concerned please call the Borough Scam Team/ Trading Standards on 01628 685636 for advice and support.
