Post by: Cookham Webmaster on June 01, 2019, 12:12:41 PM
Cookham.com is one of the nominees for the 10th Anniversary Good Web Guide Awards 2019. #gwgawards

Cookham.com is just a minnow amongst the big boys, so we desperately need your support so people can become aware of one of the most beautiful, vibrant village websites in Britain beacuse of you.

We are joining the likes of Great British Chefs, Touchnote, Sheerluxe, House & Garden, Biscuiteers, Bloom & Wild, Trusted Housesitters, Nutmeg and Foxtons.

The organisers say:

WHAT’S NEXT

The judging panel will get to work in September but you can start now, getting your fans and followers to vote for you in the People's Choice.

Every week, we will let contenders know who is in the lead. By mid October, we will announce a shortlist for this popular category (around ten) and they will go through to the final round for one last drive to get the most votes. People can only vote once.

I concur with Paris's statement.... and would add …

...with no explanation given at all as to when the old site would be recovered, or indeed, what is being done towards retrieving it.

I'm gathering from the eerie silence on the matter that nothing at all is being done towards getting the site back.

Ho Hum ...

I moved away from Cookham in 2016 and hence not posted anything for ages.   As part of the move I positively de-cluttered and felt so much better for it.   I vainly hope that the discussion board was data-cleansed but fear it was only an accident.   Nevertheless I have voted for the website.   I miss a few things from home, including the banter on here.
