Title: Crime Update Monday Post by: Thames Valley Police on July 22, 2019, 05:01:37 PM I have received this request from Diane Purchase - the Chair of the Windsor Lions - with whom we work closely:
Windsor Lions Tacking up for Annual Horse Ride event Windsor Lions, the leading local Community Services organisation, are in full preparation mode for their biggest annual fund raiser - the Cross-Country Horse Ride, in beautiful Windsor Great Park. Following on from their best ever event last September, where almost £50,000 was raised for Charities including Riding for the Disabled, the Lions are hoping to have a full complement of riders again this year. With almost 700 riders already entered for the ride, Event Controller Mark Fraser says - ‘If riders continue to sign up at the current rate we expect to close the entries at the end of July - so we urge any last minute entries to sign up quickly. We are especially excited about the changes in the ride this year, as we have a new course, which is wholly in the spectacular Deer Park within Windsor Great Park and as always, we are extremely grateful to the park authorities, for the use of their wonderful facilities. This will enhance the special qualities that the park has to offer the riders.' The ride is on Saturday and Sunday 7th and 8th September and for more information, including entries, go to www.windsorlions.co.uk.
