Title: A new type of scam and crime update Post by: Thames Valley Police on February 11, 2020, 04:46:23 PM First a new type of scam:
The victim received a phone call, purporting to come from Dyson the vacuum cleaner company. They said the victim had been referred to them as the owner of a Dyson - which in fact she did. They had a special offer on at this time, re vacuum cleaner bags. If she would give them her bank card details, they would make her part of the offer and she would receive a supply of bags. Title: Re: A new type of scam and crime update Post by: Roger on February 11, 2020, 07:23:00 PM How stupid can people be? If you are going to run a scam don’t offer vacuum bags for a cleaner that does not use bags!
