Title: Maidenhead Music Society - 19 March 2020 Cancelled Post by: Cookham Webmaster on March 17, 2020, 06:13:29 PM I am sorry to tell you that the Chamber Philharmonic Europe concert on Thursday 19th March has been cancelled in accordance with Government advice to avoid social contact and pubs, clubs and theatres. Moreover our performers, travelling from Germany, were denied entry to the UK.
Please do not come to Norden Farm on Thursday evening. We are looking at how best to offer refunds or credits for unusable tickets, and we will let you know about this as soon as possible. The next MMS concerts are planned for 23 April and 21 May. There is a strong likelihood that these concerts may have to be cancelled. We shall confirm whether or not these concerts go ahead as the situation develops. We are sorry about the cancellation of this Thursday's concert, but the Government has just issued this advice, so we are obliged to take immediate action. We look forward to seeing you at a concert once the restrictions are lifted. We shall send you further emails in due course. |
