Title: Visiting Your Allotment is Counted as your Daily Exercise Post by: Cookham v Coronavirus on March 25, 2020, 01:13:51 PM Current guidance confirmed by Michael Gove is that attending allotments is fine as it can count as your daily exercise. Obviously, everyone still needs to observe all the usual social distancing and be mindful of touching gates etc in communal areas.
Although I see it as a way of exercising and a source of food production that doesn’t involve visiting a shop, our Tenants MUST still follow Social Distancing advise, extreme care should be taken to avoid touching communal items, like gates and taps, and if they see that the carpark is busy or full then stay away and try another time. I don’t think it would be acceptable for Tenants to spend all day at the allotment, but shorter visits are acceptable at this time. We are monitoring this as guidance may change. https://www.gardenersworld.com/how-to/grow-plants/coronavirus-can-i-still-go-to-the-allotment/ |
