Post by: Cookham v Coronavirus on March 26, 2020, 05:36:39 PM
PRESCRIPTION INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE PHARMACY
- Patient orders their requirements by phone through the pharmacy

FOR NON URGENT PRESCRIPTIONS. If the individual has stock or it is a repeat, patient needs to wait at least 3-4 days aftering their order before contacting the Pharmacy to confirm that it is ready to collect.
If it isn't ready, Pharmacy will say how long it should be. Part orders will be despatched with a slip attached with what is still outstanding.
- PATIENT then phones SOS HUB on 01628 819224 to arrange delivery of prescription.
- SOS PRESCRIPTION TEAM collects prescription . (PRESCRIPTION TEAM, Ian Davis will give you details of information and ID detail that needs to be given).
FOR URGENT PRESCRIPTIONS If patient needs medication urgently (eg .antibiotics, doctors recommendation, etc.), the patient can call the pharmacy (and they will realise that they need it sooner rather than later!)
VOLUNTEERS...Always check if the patient needs it straight away or if they have a few days in hand as this will help The Pharmacy calm the volume.
Most patients will not have to pay. But if they do, The Pharmacy will take care of it by taking payment at the time they call and they confirm the prescription is ready.

The Pharmacy are still running their usual delivery service of Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays - a 2 hour window between 12pm and 4pm. Where there is capacity - the Pharmacy will deliver to the patient The Pharmacy will confirm this when the the patient calls.
