The number of confirmed cases was released by the Government on Friday (April 3). The area of Berkshire with the most cases is Slough, which saw no new cases on Friday, remaining stable with 117 coronavirus patients. There has been a modest increase in cases Berkshire wide, up six from 428 on Thursday (April 2) to today's total of 434. West Berkshire has seen an increase in three cases, from 66 on Thursday to today's 69. Other areas which saw increases were Windsor and Maidenhead, up one case to 76, and Wokingham, which had an increase of two cases to 69 cases in total. Meanwhile, the number of confirmed cases remained stable in Reading, which has 67 coronavirus patients, and 36 in Bracknell. In total, 49 people have died at NHS Trusts that treat people in Berkshire. One person, a woman in her 70s, died at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading on Thursday, March 5. And 48 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus at hospitals in the Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot and Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley. |
