A few weeks ago I posted about this excellent 1991 video documentary and there was a lot of interest. I’ve finally sorted out permissions with Holy Trinity Publications to reissue it as a DVD with profits going direct to the church restoration fund. It comes in a nice presentation box using the original artwork cover and is only £10.00 including delivery. As a reminder, the film is beautifully narrated by the late Tim Brooke-Taylor. Lasting 55mins it includes many interesting topics and anecdotes about Cookham including Swan Upping, Sir Stanley Spencer and other local artists, regattas, local history and many interviews with local characters. It also features the church choir and musicians performing For the Beauty of The Earth by John Rutter.
