There is yet another increase in the number of coronavirus cases reported in latest Public Health England figures.

However there have been no new deaths recorded in Berkshire's hospitals in the last 24 hours.


The latest figures, released on Saturday (May 23), reveal although cases are still rising slowly, there are no Covid-19 fatalities recorded at trusts which operate Berkshire hospitals over the past 24 hours.

The number of confirmed cases in Berkshire now stands at 2,367 as of 4pm on Saturday.

Reading still has the highest number of recorded cases in the county, with 575 patients testing positive. Slough now has 449 cases.

Elsewhere, 371 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in West Berkshire, 442 in Wokingham, 281 in Windsor and Maidenhead, and 249 in Bracknell.

Below we have provided a breakdown of the deaths reported by the three hospital trusts operating in Berkshire.

They are Frimley Health, Royal Berkshire and Berkshire Healthcare trusts.

The figures record the death of patients who had tested positive for coronavirus or where it was mentioned on the death certificate.
