UK-wide deaths related to Covid-19 now stand at 41,698, up 36 in 24 hours. There have been 295,889 confirmed cases across the country, an increase of 1,514 positive patients in the last 24 hours. The latest figures in Berkshire Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust – 358 (no change) Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust – 182 (no change) Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - 20 (no change) It is important to note that Frimley Health runs sites outside of Berkshire, for example Frimley Hospital in Surrey, so it is hard to get an accurate figure for the exact amount of deaths in Berkshire alone. Cases in the county where people have tested positive for coronavirus now stand at 2,460 - four new cases being recorded in 24 hours. Reading still has the highest number of cases in Berkshire, with 591 patients testing positive, one fewer in the past 24 hours. Slough has 459 positive cases - one more in 24 hours - while Bracknell has 263, an increase of two. West Berkshire's cases are up one at 383, while Wokingham's remain at 458. To date, 306 people have tested positive in Windsor and Maidenhead - an increase of one. Boris Johnson has said people should be able to “shop with confidence” when non-essential stores reopen in England on Monday. Speaking during a visit to the Westfield shopping centre in east London, the Prime Minister said he hoped to see a “gradual” build-up in the numbers of people returning to the high street. “I am very optimistic about the opening up that is going to happen tomorrow,” he said. |
