: Emergency services at serious incident in Cookham : Cookham Webmaster June 23, 2020, 10:32:06 PM Police were seen on the Thames near the Ferry around 8.30pm this evening. It is thought that three men got into trouble at Odney Weir. It is not known how the boys are, but ambulances and the critical care unit were called to the scene.

One was badly hurt and has been taken to hospital, one it seems is still missing. Four paramedics entered the water to work jointly alongside the fire and police. Emergency services have launched a desperate search for a man who is feared to have drowned after jumping into the Thames to save his friend.

The man who jumped in to help is unharmed. The third is in hospital and is none tto good.
