Title: M4 closure: Full weekend closure for smart motorway works Post by: Cookham Webmaster on July 10, 2020, 03:39:39 PM The M4 motorway will close westbound between junction 8/9 and junction 10 from Friday evening (July 10) until Monday morning (July 13).
The closure is expected to be in place from 9pm on Friday until 6am on Monday. The motorway will shut westbound between junctions 8/9 (Maidenhead) to 10 (Wokingham/Bracknell). The closure is part of the four year smart motorway upgrade, which will see 32 miles of motorway converted, and is due to be completed in 2022. There are weekend closures (in both directions unless otherwise noted) on a regular basis throughout the year and the schedule for this summer is as follows: 24-27 July 2020: full weekend closure between junctions 6 and 8/9 31 July-3 August 2020: full weekend closure between junctions 5 and 6 7-10 August 2020: full weekend closure between junctions 5 and 6 14-17 August 2020: full weekend closure between junctions 6 and 8/9 21-24 August 2020: full weekend closure between junctions 6 and 8/9 |
