Title: Gravity Grand Prix
Post by: Cookham Webmaster on August 23, 2020, 12:23:25 PM
Today would have been the day of the annual Gravity Grand Prix which brings the whole village together to watch the eclectic mix of racers whizzing through Cookham Dean.

It’s a tragic loss to Cookham’s event calendar this year and a real disappointment for the organisers, volunteers and competitors who spend months in advance putting this wonderful day together. Without doubt, it’s one of the most professionally organised events we have in the village but most importantly, a crucial part of fundraising for The Thames Valley Air Ambulance service it supports.

The event usually raises in excess of £10,000 for this invaluable service so there’s a huge dent left due to the event not going ahead. The TV Air Ambulance Service is vital in Cookham and is regularly called upon so please donate, even if a small gesture in order that the huge shortfall isn’t so short.

Thank you.
