Post by: Cookham Webmaster on September 04, 2020, 12:36:14 PM
Two stretches of the M4 will be closed this weekend as highway workers continue construction as part of the M4 Smart Motorway upgrade.

The busy motorway will be closed eastbound between junctions 5 for Langley and 4b for the M25 from 9pm on Friday, September 4 to 6am on Monday, September 7.

It will also be closed westbound between junctions 13 for Chieveley/Newbury and junction 14 for Hungerford for resurfacing from Friday, September 4 to Monday, September 7.

The closure at junction 5 is so work can be carried out on the carriageway around the new bridge at Old Slade Lane in Slough.

The bridge is one of many which has been replaced as part of work to covert the M4 into a Smart Motorway.
