The laws come in on Monday, September 14, and mean social gatherings of more than six people will become illegal. This is a reduction of the current number of 30. Cases roses again in Berkshire on Wednesday, September 9, with 27 new cases announced - including 10 new cases in Windsor & Maidenhead. The changes come after four Berkshire schools revealed pupils had been sent home after positive tests, three of which are in Bracknell Forest. There are numerous exemptions to the new rules, including gatherings of more than six people will be allowed where the household or support bubble is larger than six, or where the gathering is for work or education purposes. Exemptions will also apply for weddings, funerals and Covid-secure organised team sports, with a full list to be published by the Government before Monday.
