LOCK ALL EXTERNAL DOORS AND WINDOWS - UNLESS YOU ARE IN THAT ROOM.
IF YOU ARE GOING IN AND OUT TO THE GARDEN - YOU MUST ALWAYS LOCK THE DOOR BEHIND YOU.  OPPORTUNISTS CAN SOMETIMES HEAR IF YOU ARE WORKING IN THE GARDEN AND WILL JUST TRY THE BACK DOOR - IN CASE IT HAS BEEN LEFT UNLOCKED.
THINK ABOUT A VIDEO DOORBELL - WE HAVE THREE NHW VOLUNTEER GURUS, WHO CAN ASSIST WITH ADVICE RE WHICH PRODUCTS BEST SUIT YOUR PARTICULAR NEEDS. SECURE GARDEN ORNAMENTS - CONCRETE DOWN BIRDBATHS / GARDEN STATUES AND MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO LOOSE ROCKS / BRICKS, WHICH COULD BE USED TO SMASH REAR PATIO DOORS.
ALWAYS SET YOUR ALARM FOR THE GROUND FLOOR WHEN GOING TO BED.  FULLY SET THE ALARM, EVERY TIME YOU LEAVE THE BUILDING

19/9  Saturday 10 a.m.  Showroom, Long Lane, Cookham.  The majority of the vehicles on the lot have been damaged - possibly with a baseball bat.  Ref. 18/9 - 19/9  Friday 10 p.m. / Saturday 8.15 a.m.  Highway Road.  Car passenger window smashed - purse containing bank cards and cash stolen.  The owner believes the purse may have fallen out of a bag onto the front seat.  Ref. No:  43200294522

BOYN HILL, COX GREEN & WOODLANDS PARK:
12/9 - 18/9  Suffolk Road.  Burglary  The owner HAD LEFT THE FRONT DOOR OPEN - to allow her cat to go in and out.  Someone had walked in and gone upstairs to search the bedrooms.  A handbag had been searched and a large amount of cash had been stolen.  Ref. 19/9 - 20/9  Saturday 2 p.m. / Sunday 10.45 a.m.  Rutland Road.  A green Land Rover TD5 double cab with covered pickup index YBO ** FTU stolen from the drive.  Ref.
