The death toll across the county has also increased by one, according to figures released by the NHS today (October 14). Nationwide, 654,644 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 and 43,155 have passed away. This represents a rise of 19,724 and 137 respectively over the same time period. In Berkshire, the highest case increase has been recorded in Slough, where there were 37 new positive tests. There were also rises of 31 in Windsor and Maidenhead, 23 in Reading, and 16 in Wokingham.
