Title: Coronavirus deaths and cases rise again in Berks according to latest NHS data

There have been a further 134 cases of coronavirus recorded in Berkshire in the past 24 hours.

The death toll across the county has also increased by one, according to figures released by the NHS today (October 14).

Nationwide, 654,644 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 and 43,155 have passed away.

This represents a rise of 19,724 and 137 respectively over the same time period.

In Berkshire, the highest case increase has been recorded in Slough, where there were 37 new positive tests.

There were also rises of 31 in Windsor and Maidenhead, 23 in Reading, and 16 in Wokingham.

One further death was recorded at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust

This is how the figures break down in terms of cases for each area of Berkshire as of October 14:

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust: 376 
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust: 205  (increase of one)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: 20

Reading   : 1,171 cases    (increase of 23)
Slough    : 1,268 cases    ( increase of 37)
Wokingham    : 926 cases    (increase of 16)
West Berkshire    : 754 cases    (increase of 13)
Windsor   and Maidenhead: 972 cases    (increase of 31)
Bracknell Forest    : 631 cases   ( increase of 14)
