Our very old (but reliable) central heating system has had a pump failure. Pump on the way and it'll be a good opportunity to drain the system, de-scale it and then refill with corrosion inhibitor and boiler quietener, as the last time it got drained down it gurgled and moaned for days until I poured some of that magic Fernox stuff down its throat!. Just keeping fingers crossed we'll be good for winter after that.....
