Title: Maidenhead Music Society
Post by: Cookham Webmaster on November 16, 2020, 11:13:33 AM
I am sorry to tell you that the Concert on November 19th has been cancelled because of the lockdown.  Norden Farm is temporarily closed and live performances cannot take place.  The concert, entitled 'Immortal', would have featured Piers Lane playing some of Beethoven's piano music with Jessica Duchen reading from her new book 'Immortal'.

If you have purchased tickets for this concert, you will be contacted by the Norden Farm Box Office to offer you a credit to your NF account, a refund of the value of your tickets or to donate to Norden Farm itself.  If you choose a credit you may be able to use this to purchase tickets for future MMS concerts.

We hope to be able to present a series of concerts in the first part of 2021,  and will let you know our detailed plans when they are available.  We have provisionally engaged the Daphnis Wind and Piano Ensemble, the Busch Piano Trio and the BBC New Generation Artists, the Consone String Quartet.  Then for our celebrity concert in May, we have re-booked The Heath Quartet with friends to make up to a string sextet.   We will let you know the dates and details of these concerts in a future email, and will announce them on our website.

We thank you for your support of the Society, and hope to present concerts again before too long.
