After years of political wrangling, the £14bn project was blocked by the Court of Appeal in March. Judges ruled that ministers had failed to adequately take into account climate change commitments. Heathrow challenged the March ruling at a Supreme Court hearing in October after Boris Johnson’s administration accepted the Court of Appeal decision. |
