Title: Flood Alert Info Post by: Cookham Webmaster on January 02, 2021, 06:02:09 PM Happy New Year everyone.
Since the Flood Alert for the River Thames from Hurley to Cookham was issued on Christmas Eve your Parish Council Flood Committee has been monitoring the situation. We held virtual Flood Hub briefings from 28th December when levels at Cookham Lock were of concern. We held our last one yesterday morning as these levels are steadily falling. However please note that we are still on Flood Alert and therefore we will continue to monitor river levels at Cookham Lock until the Alert is removed. In the event that river levels rise again we will update you and reopen the virtual Flood Hub. I would like to express appreciation for the work that the Environment Agency have done in getting the Jubilee River in service again and also in managing flows in the Cookham area so that we did not suffer road closures, etc. For up to date information please visit cookhamfloodwarnings.blogspot.com with links to the Environment Agency website, where you can register for Alerts.
