Title: Flood Alerts
Post by: Cookham Webmaster on January 22, 2021, 03:30:03 PM
Flood alerts have been issued for major rivers in Berkshire following Storm Christoph.

The Environment Agency has issued a number of flood alerts for the River Thames and the River Loddon in Berkshire as river levels continue to rise following heavy rain.

The flood alerts are the least serious of the three levels of flood warning given by the agency and flooding of homes is not currently expected.

River levels are expected to continue to rise for the next few days, but no more rain is forecast.

The alerts are mostly for the Thames.

Flooding is expected on the river between the village of Hurley and Cookham.

Light rain is forecast and the river levels are expected to remain high.
