Title: Road Improvement Scheme
Post by: Cookham Webmaster on February 04, 2021, 01:12:48 AM
Road improvement scheme in Maidenhead. A £6m road improvement scheme will begin in the Royal Borough next week, aimed at improving six key roundabouts in Maidenhead. The scheme begins on Monday 8 February when work on the Ray Mead Road roundabout begins, to reduce the size of the pedestrian island.

The work will allow two vehicles to approach the roundabout side-by-side, both increasing capacity and reducing congestion. The pedestrian island will remain wide enough to allow pedestrians and those with prams, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids to wait safely on the island,

Work will take place daily between 9am and 3.30pm until Friday 19 February. To read more about the scheme please visit our website at: https://www.rbwm.gov.uk/news/work-ps6m-road-improvement-scheme-maidenhead-enters-new-
