Title: Sextortion and Crime Update Post by: Thames Valley Police on July 12, 2021, 06:27:43 PM YET ANOTHER SEXTORTION CASE:
A young man received a ‘Friend Request’ which he accepted and then started a conversation with a young woman on SnapChat. She suggested they ‘play a game’. She will send him a picture and he must send one back. She sent him an intimate photo and asked him to respond. He was suspicious as he didn’t believe the photo was of the girl he was speaking to – so asked her for a video – which she provided on condition he sent one back – which he did. He immediately received a response with a demand for money. She had copied all the contacts in his phone and would send the video to everyone in his contact list, if he did not send $100. He responded that he was too young to be able to send money and she reduced the demand to $50. She asked him if he had PayPal as she would accept a PayPal payment. He said he did not and has not heard from them since.
