NEXT: AN UPDATE FROM VALERIE PIKE THE CHAIR OF THE WIINDSOR & ASCOT NHW ASSOCIATION – RE CAR DASH CAMS: Hi Jeff, I have done some research on Dash Cams and each has different functions and advantages - depending on the type / model of Dash Cam - it is possible for it to record when a car is parked. The feature that is required to be able to do that - is called the ‘Motion Detection and Parking Monitor’. It is recommended that you use a ‘hard wire kit’. Then the Dash Cam - automatically powers on the camera/s and starts recording, as soon as an impact / movement is detected. An SD card is required, to store the recording. There are many models on the market and you do need to research which one suits your needs. Hope this helps.
