The M4 is also due to be closed in both directions next weekend between junctions 5 (Langley) and 6 (Slough), from 8pm on Friday 30 July to 6am the following Monday. Smart motorways works have been cancelled this weekend. There will be closures in place on Saturday and Sunday nights from 9pm to 6am the following morning, while Highways England contractors replace road studs in West Berkshire. The motorway was due to be closed between Junctions 6 (Slough) and 8/9 (Maidenhead) from 8pm yesterday evening until 6am on Monday, July 26. Slough Borough Council has since confirmed that the closure has been cancelled. No reason was given for the cancellation. |
