The latest official figures published on Thursday evening (October 7) show that Windsor and Maidenhead - with 112 - had the biggest increase in the latest 24-hour recording period. West Berkshire and Bracknell Forest had the smallest increases today, with both reporting 35 more positive tests for the virus. Government data up to October 5 shows that of the 94,085,830 Covid jabs given in the UK, 49,035,877 were first doses, a rise of 41,347 on the previous day. Some 45,049,953 were second doses, an increase of 28,572. The Government said a further 122 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Thursday, bringing the UK total to 137,417. As of 9am on Thursday, there had been a further 40,701 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK, the Government said.
