Title: 5G Mast - corner of Sutton Road and Mill Lane Post by: naigle on December 29, 2021, 12:01:55 PM We have received a planning notice from RBWM regarding a new 5G telecoms mast on the corner of Sutton road and Mill Lane.
Hutchison (owners of THREE) are using their telecoms Code powers, which means the council planning department only have 56days to say 'no', otherwise the default answer is 'yes'. I do not believe that the installation is in keeping with the Cookham plan and should not be permitted due to Appearance, specifically due to: height of the site in relation to surrounding land topography of the site and vegetation openness and visibility of the site designated area proximity to residential property This type of development in our village should be discussed at the planning committee, weighing up the benefits of improved needed mobile reception verses the site and appearance. Questions: Would the installation be a shared resource for all mobile networks or just THREE? Unhelpfully the RBWM website has an issue sending emails to new registrations but you can email them planning@rbwm.gov.uk (quoting 21/03688) Title: Re: 5G Mast - corner of Sutton Road and Mill Lane Post by: Roger on December 29, 2021, 01:05:51 PM Have you talked to the Cookham Society?

I believe there should be a firm rejection of such sites which do not pay there way, that the site owner should set the rate, and that by definition, all new masts must be multi-company shared to get away from the proliferation of these structures.

Also is there a petition around against the building of the mast where I can attach my signature? Title: Re: 5G Mast - corner of Sutton Road and Mill Lane Post by: Cookham Webmaster on January 09, 2022, 01:37:33 AM You can email RBWM planning@rbwm.gov.uk (quoting 21/03688)
