Following a strong response from RBWM residents to the public consultation in 2020, our Council published a Corporate Plan for 2021 to 2026 with the pursuit of a zero carbon Borough and a clean, sustainable, and biodiverse environment at its core.  However, without the necessary funding, the plan is just words.

The Council has now announced a public consultation on its 2022-23 budget and residents have until 31st January (next Monday) to respond.

Protection and enhancement of our natural environment, WildCookham's priority, is a key part of the Borough's Environment and Climate Strategy. The proposed budget has minimal detail about the funds to support the strategy - raising questions about the Council's commitment.  As part of the local Climate Emergency Coalition, we are now asking our supporters to reply to the budget survey to express your concerns.
