Title: Cookham: outline plans for 25 homes on green belt submitted

OUTLINE plans for 25 homes in Cookham that have been earmarked by the now adopted borough local plan have been submitted for determination.

The application was just one of many applications submitted to or decided by the local authorities in Slough, Maidenhead, and Windsor in the last seven days.

Construction of 25 homes at Land East of Strande Park, Strande Lane, Cookham, Maidenhead (22/00343/OUT).

The site, known as AL38, lies within the green belt, but since the borough local plan has been formally adopted by council, this takes it off the green belt for housing.

AL38 is earmarked for approximately 20 homes, but developer Shanley Homes have submitted an outline planning application 25 houses to see if the council agrees with the development in principle before the developer submits a full planning application.

The planning statement states the site will be a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes and two one-bedroom maisonettes.

Forty per cent of the homes will be affordable. This will be a mix of social rent, affordable rent, and shared ownership.

The site will also have 53 car parking spaces.
